Congrats to the LMS Math Olympiad teams!

From Clyde Monma, our wonderful volunteer LMS Math Olympiad coach:

Well… once again the Langley Middle School teams represented
themselves and our school very well against some of the top middle
schools in the area, including Bellevue Christian Academy, Eastside
Prep, International School and seven other schools with a total of 44
teams entered.

The competition was held this past Sat., May 5 in South Seattle. All teams were eligible for a ribbon or a medal in one of two categories: the Long Problem and the Short Problems. Our sixth and seventh grade teams won a total of three ribbons and one medal. Wow!

The teams are listed below. Team 6B/608 won a ribbon for the 6th grade
Long Problem competition. Team 7B/704 won a ribbon for the 7th grade
Short Problems AND a ribbon for the Long Problem. Team 7A/703 won a
medal for the 7th grade Long Problem.

I am very proud of all of our participants. They all devoted many,
many hours after school and at home working on these advanced math
problems and topics. We also had a lot of fun together.
